MacArthur is an application that lets you set your Away and/or Available status and message in a number of chat clients. It looks up the location and title of the next event in specified iCal calendars, and offers that as the text of your away message (if you want). MacArthur can also update your chat icon and status messages over time to match whatever you want to monitor.
